Molly's Baby Shower Weekend!

Above are some pictures that were snapped a couple weekends ago when Molly had her first party! My sister in law, Melissa & Brother in law Kevin threw Molly a baby shower. And it was so beautiful!! There were wonderful people, and super yummy Mexican food, flowers, and the best cupcakes ever!!

Michael and I were really touched by the whole experience. Molly is so lucky that she isn't even born yet- and she has so many wonderful people in her life that love her! It was also especially super to see my friend Nicole who flew in from NYC to see us, and Rose who made it from Georgia! It was really a great day, and Michael and I felt so much love from everyone. It was really special, and I can't wait to tell little Miss Molly about it someday!

In other news- my placenta previa has disappeared! So that means that rather than the scheduled C-section we expected to have- we are going to be surprised by Molly's arrival into the world! She was about 6 pounds the last week, so we think she is growing great! She hasn't stopped her constant kicking either! Except that now she is a LOT stronger. So those kicks can really stop my in my tracks:)

Sorry it took a while for me to update this. I've been really exhausted! My growing belly has really zapped some of my energy. But I'm hoping to get the "third trimester" energy burst any day now!

In the meantime, please keep Michael and I in your prayers- that we have a safe and happy delivery of Miss Molly! It's only about 30 days left now! And that's if she makes it to her due date- which will surprise me! Michael and I are busy making last minute arrangements, and packing hospital bags!! Wish us Good luck!!

And again, special thanks to Melissa and Kevin for a beautiful & special baby shower!!

That is so wonderful, Shannon, re: your placenta previa disappearing!! And I love the Dr Seuss (sp?) outfits!!!

Third trimester is the hardest, but YOU CAN DO IT!! That energy boost will eventually kick in. Meanwhile I'm sending good vibes your way!!

It'll be here before you know it! And I promise you -- it is the most wonderful feeling! Sure, it's scary and tiring at times, but that's expected. What surprised me was just this feeling like my heart was going to burst when she smiles at me first thing in the morning or when she's squealing as she plays with her favorite toy. Might sound weird now, but it'll all make sense. :)

Anyway, good luck! You can do it!! And... gosh, I can't wait to actually meet you some day. :)

u2Katrina- Thanks for the encouraging words! I've had a pretty smooth pregnancy, so I really can't complain! But the last couple weeks have gotten pretty tiring! Part of me is ready for the pregnancy to be over, and the other part of me is willing to put off the birth part for a good long time!! lol. That said- I can't wait to meet our Molly! And get to hear her squeal over toys as your Jannelle does! She is such a cutie!! Thanks for the good luck wishes- I'll take them!!!

Nikki- I know! Kevin and Melissa have great taste in party food, don't they? I thought it was so good too!!Thank you so much for flying down for the shower. It was super to see you! I miss you already! Sending you hugs from Texas!

As a guy, I have had no experience with things like "showers". I mean I take one occasionally, but have never attended a group one. Okay, let me rephrase that. Oh, you know what I mean.

Seriously, this was one of the coolest parties I've ever been to. My brother and sister-in-law did such a great job hosting it, as Shannon said. And it felt wonderful having so many friends and family celebrating Molly's rapidly approaching birth with us.

Last night we were (and when I say "we" I mean "Shannon") washing all baby Molly's vast collection of outfits in Dreft in prep for her arrival. Until we saw it all together we didn't fully realize how wonderfully generous everyone was. Molly is so lucky to have such a loving bunch of friends and family, as are Shannon and I.

Shannon is 35 weeks pregnant today... and we have about a month to go. We are both so excited to meet our little girl. Much love to you all!!!
