So exciting!!!

So we went to the doctors today, and got to see our little baby for the first time! Above, are the very first pictures it will ever have of itself!

I'm 6 weeks and 5 days along now. And we were amazed at that we could see the baby as clearly as we could. It's still quite small and the camera can only pic up a little detail- but I totally think I can see a profile, and a little arm next to it's head:)

We also HEARD THE HEARTBEAT!!! I thought I was going to start crying when it came out of the speakers. It was beating at 123 beats a minute which is great! We could also see it pulsing on the monitor! After the doctor left the room I looked at Michael and started to tear up. I just cant tell you how happy, and relieved I was to see our little munchkin- and to hear it's little heart pumping away inside me. Just knowing our little jellybean is doing good, makes every bit of morning sickness worth it!

We have a wonderful doctor, who is watching me really closely, so we will get a scan every couple weeks until we get to 10 weeks. So we will get to see the baby as it develops overtime:)

Anyway.....so excited. SUPER GREAT DAY!!!

Hearing that heartbeat today was amazing! And I had know idea that machine did 4D (meaning full motion 3D) images. Too cool! In a few weeks a lot more detail will be visible. I looked at some photos of babies at about this age gestation-wise, and they look pretty much just like little babies, complete with little fingers and toes. His/her first pic didn't do her justice, but was so great to see just the same!!! Good blog, baby. Love you tons!
