I can feel the baby move now!!!

Just this weekend Michael and I were talking about how we wondered when I would feel the baby start to move. Our baby books say it's usually between 18 and 24 weeks.

Well, right after that very conversation, Michael and I decided to lay down for a nap. And I couldn't sleep- so I was just laying there resting. And would you believe, that all the sudden I felt something!!?!

Because we'd just been talking about it- I kept thinking that it must be my imagination! But sure enough, I kept feeling something. So I woke up Michael- and told him the baby was moving! We were both really excited! Michael thinks the baby heard us talking about her moving- and decided to show us what she could do!!

Since Friday- I have felt the baby move more, and more distinctly every day. Right now it feels like a little butterfly is flying all around my tummy, and it's little wings keep brushing up against me!!! I love it!

It's really wonderful to feel our baby girl move. Every time I feel her little butterfly movements, I know she's alright. And it's the most wonderful feeling in the world. I can picture her all safe and warm, swimming around inside of me. Our little butterfly!

Oops... I hit enter before I finished that last comment. LOL. I love the way you put it. That is exactly the way I picture it; it's like you are giving her a hug all the time, keeping her cosy and safe and feeling really loved. You've heard the expression "butterfly kisses" describing the sensation of someone's eyelashes brushing your cheek. Well, in this case she's giving "butterfly hugs" right back to you. I love you both so much!
