Obviously- our nursery won't look exactly like this!! But after much searching for bedding both Michael and I liked....we finally found something!
As you can see, Michael really stuck to his guns on getting something "gender neutral!"
lol.
You might think that I talked him into this very pink color scheme. But I didn't! He found it! I also really loved it- so now we can start imagining the nursery! The bedding is actually WAY prettier in person. And although it's hard to see in this picture, all the trim is in a beautiful deep sage green color. So we can paint the walls a pretty green- which is my favorite color! So hopefully it will be soothing for baby....and Michael & I!
Also, I think it will create lots of crafting opportunities. I think we will be able to find lots of odds and ends at thrift stores that will look cute with these colors. So maybe we can be thrifty, while also having fun decorating!
Anyway- just wanted to share!

Yes... after daydreaming about life with our wee baby girl I couldn't help but want her to have a super lovely girly place to call hers within our home. So I totally caved when I saw this sweet nursery set.
As Shannon said the bedding is a patchwork mix of fabrics and colours and textures with some really pretty sage green velvet accents in addition to the Victorian pink and cream patterns and colours. It also has cool multicoloured decorative cording and tassels in all three colours.
If you click on the photo you can see a much larger version of our wee girl's furnishings. It's hard to appreciate it fully from the photo. It's classy and old fashioned... and very much not neutral. ;)
i love the colors!! sage green and pink are supppper cute together. plus the green in the room is great as a neutral enough color:) beautiful! you know whats really cute? my mom and dad had these letters made out of wood that were the first letters of our first names, and put them on each of our doors (I had N, doug had D, etc) you guys should check those out, it would be sooo cute, or you could spell her name with the wood letters on the wall??
