Yay!
I am in my second trimester now! I've heard lot's of wonderful things about this time in pregnancy. Mostly that you start to feel a whole lot better, morning sickness goes away, and you get some energy back. I am choosing to believe ALL the rumors are true!!!
In other "baby news" Michael and I made our first baby purchase. It was was made after HOURS of research on baby websites! Michael really should have been a proffesional researcher- becuase if I had a dollar for every time I've heard him say "We need to check that on Consumer Reports!" - I would be a millionaire! He is so sweet and protective of the baby already!! Anyway, the picture is of the bassinet in our room. We will keep it there while the baby is really little. It makes me so excited to look at it!
A funny story that illustrates Michael being a tad overprotective:
We were looking for baby bedding. And one pattern we were considering had little bees all over it. We both liked it, but Michael seemed troubled by something about it. When I asked him what he thought he said,
" I like it, but I'm afraid if the baby grows up with bees on their bedding, they will start to think that the bees are their little friends. And then they might get stung if they see one outside, and try to pet it!"
Is that not SO SWEET??!? I thought it was such a sweet thing to think about! But I died laughing too!!!

Cute blog, baby. I can just see little muppet (what we are calling the baby until we know the sex... if we decide to find out, that is) out in the backyard trying to pet a bee. LOL. Yes, I may be a wee bit overprotective. Our little muppet can eat all the dirt it wants, but we may wish to steer it gently away from poisonous things (bees, snakes, ivy, etc).
Cute photos of the bassinet. For anyone else reading, this is made by "Arms Reach". One side folds down and it attaches firmly to the side of the bed. It makes it easy for the parents to view the baby (this model is called Clear Vue as you can see through all sides) and one can easily pick the baby up while still in bed to comfort and/or feed during the night. There is more info on it here: ArmsReach.com.
One overprotective word of warning: I would recommend anyone using it be VERY careful (as we will) not to let bedding, pillows etc fall from the parents bed into this while attached.
lol, that is adorable!!! I love the lavendar color of the bear too:) thats so funny that michael was so protective, I think he's right though, bees on a blanket might be alittle scary! I wouldn't want to look down while I'm sleeping and see a bunch of bees on me! lol:)
